Deramp removes the baseline-induced phase from an interferogram.
This is necessary because, for a given baseline, there is always a phase change caused by the curvature of the Earth. Since we usually don't care about the curvature of the Earth, we subtract this phase out of the interferogram.
Deramp can be applied to non-multilooked or multilooked SAR phase images. You could even run it before generating the interferogram; but we usually run it afterwards.
Deramp is usually called by tandem_ifm, but you may run it by itself.
