9/28 For the Honors section, here are the functions plog.m and logbif.m we discussed in our first meeting.
9/15 In class we demonstrated the Matlab/Octave program df.m. If you want to use this program for yourself, you need to tell Octave/Matlab how to find it. Please read the instructions for how to do this.
9/3 We will occasionally use Matlab or Octave to help with homework assignments. Matlab costs about $100 for the student edition. Octave is a free program that has a very similar syntax to Matlab. There are Octave installers available for both Mac and Windows. Linux often ships with a copy of Octave. Here are detailed installation instructions for Octave for Windows and Mac. Matlab is also available on the computers in the Math Lab.
