Multi-volume Renderer
- each volume can be
- any extent
- any resolution (# of voxels)
- any orientation (only translates implemented)
- algorithm - for each pixel
- determine which volumes intersect viewing ray
- sample each volume above Nyquist rate
- integrate/composite active volumes to determine pixel value
- parallelism
- multi-threaded at the pixel level
- runs on Cray MTA, IBM SP, Sun E10K, SGI
