Project Activities

Fall 2003

Beginning the week of November 17, time in class will be devoted to planning and working on the group presentations. A list of suggested activities is presented below.

• Thursday, 11/20 - Group Signup

  
  Each student will select and signup for a first and second choice topic and email their choices to the instructor prior to class. In class on Thursday, the student choices will be listed and groups will be finalized.

• Tuesday, 11/25 - Project Plan

  
  Each group will prepare a project plan describing the scope and goals of their project. This should include an outline of the major activities involved in the project with personnel identified for each activity (if more than one person on project), a discussion of the expected outcomes, a list of topics that will be addressed in the final presentation and reference sources which will be used to obtain software and documentation. The project plan should be reviewed by all group members and emailed to the instructor no later than Wednesday, 11/26.

• Week of December 1-5

  
  Class time will be devoted to working on projects in consultation with the instructor.
